Children's Ministry
Province of Uganda

You and I can change their lives through Nurturing
Wholistic Ministry for reaching children and giving them self worth
“Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it” Prv 22:

"Arise Cry Out for the sake of the children" Lamentations 2 : 19

In Uganda children constitute over 56% of the population. Unfortunately out of this percentage, several of these children have suffered untold upheavals, ranging from abuse, wars, rape, sacrifice, child labour and loss of parents to AIDs.
The Province of the Church of Uganda has taken up the challenge of investigating children’s place in society, grievances and their potential in life through the Children’s Ministry Unit.
Refugees in Pader Northern Uganda

Our strategy is to teach and disciple over 15 million children through equipping Chaplains in all CoU schools, training children, church leaders and enabling them to witness nurture and care for those children in their care, in the Province of Uganda.

Conference for Clergy and their wives in Kitgum
We held a conference for 70 Clergy and their wives from Kitgum Diocese. This was exciting for them being that it was their first conference in 24 years after suffering from the affects of war for that long time.

It is now safe for them to leave the displaced camps, to return to their villages and start to build up their homes and communities again.
Please pray for these clergy and their wives, that they will have the strength and enthusiasm to lead their villages into strong peace loving christian community.

Preparing Materials for Training InService Clergy

The need for materials that are relevant and applicable for our training programmes is always a priority. This year Bishop David Sebuhinja and Janet have been working on the training manual for inservice clergy. Some of these clergy had only three months training before being inducted in their first parish, so this training manual will be very useful.
Bishop Jackson Visits South Rwenzori Fellowship in Kampala

We were really pleased to welcome our Bishop, to our fellowship service in November. Our Fellowship started in 2007 for the Christians of South Rwenzori to be able to have fellowship and worship together while working or studying in the Kampala district.

At present about 300 people meet on the second Sunday of the month for the fellowship service and children's church, and on out of those, 40 meet on the fourth Sunday of the month for bible study.
The fellowship is led voluntarily by Uzziah with my help, as a way of nurturing Christians who are far away from their home.
